NURS 239 - Application of Obstetrical and Pediatric Nursing Credit(s): 1 Contact Hours: 3
This clinical course is designed to provide nursing students with an opportunity to build upon knowledge and skills learned in prior courses within the Associate Degree Nursing program. Students will gain an understanding of the role of the Registered Nurse as it relates to obstetrical, neonatal, and pediatric patients within the framework of providing family centered health care. Prerequisite(s): Must have a “C” or better in BIOL 276 , NURS 212 NURS 214 NURS 216 and PSYC 201 . To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of a “C” or better, in all program specific general education courses & required program courses. Concurrent: NURS 235 , NURS 237
