CHEM 110 - General Chemistry I

The first semester of a two semester general chemistry course designed to meet the needs of science students. The course covers units of measurement, the structure of atoms, nomenclature, stoichiometric relationships and calculations, bonding, and states of matter. Prior to taking CHEM 112, be sure to enroll in MATH 110 concurrently with CHEM-110. Prerequisite(s): One year of high school chemistry or “C” or better in CHEM 090 or “C” or better in CHEM 103 or “C” or better in CHEM 102 and CHEM 104, & “C” or better in MATH 105 or appropriate score on the mathematics placement exam
