Requirements for MRIT Programs
All students accepted into the MRIT program are required to purchase uniforms. The college makes arrangements for liability insurance, which will be billed in your registration fees once a year. Prior to entrance into the program, the Department of Allied Health requires students to successfully pass the following; criminal background check, a drug test, American Heart Association CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider, and the Certification of Physical Fitness Form completed by your Physician. Along with the Certification of Fitness, students must also have proof they are immunized for specific contagious diseases. Facilities may have additional requirements, which a student will also need to meet.
The Department of Allied Health orders your background check, drug screening and immunization tracker through www.certifiedprofile.com. This Certified Profile Package is billed in your first semester tuition.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program is offered through a partnership of Bay de Noc Community College and the following colleges: Kellogg Community College, Lansing Community College, Mid-Michigan Community College, Grand Rapids Community College, Lake Michigan College, and Grand Valley State University. (https://www.micollegesonline.org/mriprogram.html). The six colleges established the Michigan Radiologic and Imaging Science (MRIS) Consortium for the purpose of sharing instructional resources to offer the MRI program. Each college enrolls students in that program under that college’s admission criteria and each awards the degree according to that college’s completion requirements.
