NURS 133 - Practical Nursing of the Adult Credit(s): 4 Contact Hours: 4
This course is designed as a theory course in the second semester of the practical nursing program. Students will be focused on the adult patient in the medical-surgical care environment. Theory topics include the acute care environment, surgery, in-patient/acute care, and the differing disease processes commonly seen in the adult population. Officially accepted into the Practical Nursing Certificate program and following the required sequence of courses. Co-requisite of NURS 135 Practical Nursing of the Adult Clinic.
To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of C or better in Practical Nursing program courses.
