NURS 253 - Registered Nurse Seminar Credit(s): 4 Contact Hours: 4
This course is designed to specifically evaluate ADN student attainment of end-of-program student learning outcomes related to nursing knowledge and attitudes, and to prepare students to successfully challenge the NCLEX RN exam. Emphasis is placed on self-identification of knowledge deficits and development of a targeted remediation plan in addition to required attendance at a live NCLEX RN review. Prerequisite(s): Must have a ”C” or better in NURS 218 , NURS 220 , NURS 235 , NURS 237 , NURS 239 and NURS 245 or achieved a “C” or better in NURS 215 , NURS 217 , NURS 219 , NURS 221 , and NURS 223 . To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of a “C” or better, in all program specific general education courses & required program courses. Concurrent: NURS 251 , NURS 252
