3002 General Education Policy

It shall be the policy of the Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees to offer a coherent general education curriculum in all programs leading to associates degrees. This core curriculum will acquaint students with broad areas of general knowledge that promote responsible citizenship and continuing learning.  The General Education curriculum will be developed by faculty in accordance with the Higher Learning Commission’s standards, as well as best practices.  Learning outcomes in General Education will be assessed by faculty on a regular basis. Faculty and Academic Administrators will oversee the process for implementing this policy.
