2016 Repairs, Renovations and Alterations Policy

It shall be the policy of the Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees to make a major repair, renovation or alternation to the physical structure of an existing college building when such structural change/improvement will meet the needs of the College and is financially more feasible than new construction.
Projects for the repair, renovation or alternation of existing physical structures shall be classified as “major” when the project estimated cost exceeds $25,000.
The Board shall approve the project funding and authorize the contracting of services for program planning, architectural design, and/or construction management prior to the commencement of any renovation project.
All contracts for the purchase of goods or services shall comply with the College’s purchasing policy for bidding.
