It shall be the policy of the Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees to grant the Secretary of the Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees the authority to sign waivers for back personal property tax on behalf of the Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees when, in the opinion of the collecting officials, such taxes are uncollectible.

Procedure:

2010.1

The taxpayer may submit a request for abatement of delinquent personal property taxes due the College.

2010.2

The Vice President of Finance and Operations shall consult with local tax collectors to assess the likelihood of collecting delinquent personal property taxes.

2010.3

The Vice President of Finance and Operations shall recommend the Board Secretary approve the request for abatement of delinquent personal property taxes, when in the opinion of the collecting officials, the taxes are unlikely to be collected.
