4004 Student Development and Success Fee Policy

It shall be the policy of the Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees to authorize the collection of a Student Development and Success Fee.

Student Development and Success Fees are designated for activities and functions that enhance co-curricular learning at the College and are aimed at student engagement, success, and completion.

Procedure:

4004.1 Student Development and Success Fee

All students shall pay $10.00 per contact hour up to 16 hours for a Student Development and Success Fee, of which, $2.25 shall be designated for Student Development, $3.75 to support Academic Support initiatives, $2.00 to support Co-Advising, and $2.00 to support Athletics.

4004.2 Collection of Student Development and Success Fees

The administration will assist in the collection of Student Development and Success Fees.

4004.3 Disbursement of the Student Development Funds

The Director of Student Life will draft a proposal each semester for disbursement of the student development funds to be approved by the Vice President of Student Services. West Campus funds will be approved by the Vice President of Student Services as well as the Director of Student Services at West Campus. Once approved, the draft proposal will be amended/approved by the students of Campus Activities Board (CAB). Areas of funding shall include the following:

Campus Activities Board Events (CAB)
Clubs/Organizations sanctioned by the College
Lecture Series/Multicultural Awareness
Commencement
Miscellaneous Student Events
