The AAS in Forest Technology will develop technically-prepared, career-ready graduates in forest technology. Upon completion, students would also receive a Certificate in Forest Technology through Michigan State University. Through a consortium between Bay College and Michigan States Univerisity’s Institute of Agricultural Technology, the program goal is to engage students in intensive and practical skill development that will serve to address the changing needs of the agricultural workforce. At the conclusion of this program, students will be prepared to collect & manage forestry-related data, plan and perform forest management activities, prepare timber for harvest, administer timber sales, support first managment activities, maintain stateholder relationships, perform administrative tasks and coordinate forestry workforce.
