NURS 102 - Nursing Fundamental Lab Credit(s): 2 Contact Hours: 6
This course is designed to develop cognitive, affective, psychomotor, communication, and assessment skills in a simulated clinical laboratory setting. Emphasis is on utilizing nursing concepts, beginning assessment and interview skills as a basis for nursing practice. This is taught using the conceptual framework of Martha Rogers “Science of Unitary Human Beings,” along with Marjory Gordon’s Functional Health Patterns. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Practical Nursing Program. Concurrent: To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of a “P” or better in program course. Corequisite(s): NURS 101
